Carmel Bird Theatre School

Why do Drama?

Drama classes introduce children to the basics of acting and performing on stage.  They develop each child's skills so that they can perform confidently.

Children learn the fundamentals of stagecraft including vocal work, confident movement and character acting.

They are introduced to breathing techniques and good posture to improve their voice and gain understanding of body language and movement. Most of all, the children have lots of fun whilst learning invaluable skills. The lessons include theatre games, mime, movement, improvisation and lots of acting techniques.

Every week the children work with a variety of styles including drama, comedy, mime and prop work and through regular performances they develop their confidence on stage and their knowledge of the theatre.

All the work we do in class leads to a performance at the end of each term.
